Tourist Accommodations
There are several accommodations along the route that are affiliated with the Cammino dei Borghi Silenti. All necessary information is contained in the printed guidebook: to avoid problems, especially in conjunction with some holidays between spring and summer, it is strongly recommended to book accommodations well in advance. Given the particularity of the places crossed, it is always preferable to leave having already booked overnight accommodations, since the walk takes place partly in sparsely populated places where there are no public transportation services. The organization of the walk is not responsible for any problems with tourist facilities that are run independently by private individuals.
walking route
The walking route is about 90 km long and is mainly on dirt roads, mountain paths and some short sections of secondary paved roads. The Cammino dei Borghi Silenti is laid out in a loop and revolves around Mount Croce di Serra, the highest point in the Amerini Mountains at almost 1,000 meters (3,000 feet); you must carefully follow the yellow-colored signs, as per the legend, as the trail travels along large uninhabited stretches with long passages through the woods.
