Tracks

Attached to the purchase of the printed guidebook or at the headquarters at the start of the walk are GPX tracks of the walking and mountain biking routes. One only needs to have a simple smartphone and download an appropriate application to be able to view one's real-time location and the official trail of the walk. Tracks should be downloaded via WhatsApp or Email. GENERAL RULES

  • Although in possession of the trail, the stages of the path should be approached with the utmost caution and care.
  • The gpx or kml tracks should be considered as additional indicative information.
  • Submitted traces may contain errors due to the type of instrument used.
  • all routes described on the website and in the printed guidebook are to be traveled on your personal responsibility.
  • The tracks have been walked and checked by the organization, however, we do not assume any civil and criminal liability regarding damage to property, animals and people.

The path

The walking route is about 90 km long and is mainly on dirt roads, mountain paths and some short sections of secondary paved roads. The Cammino dei Borghi Silenti is laid out in a loop and revolves around Mount Croce di Serra, the highest point in the Amerini Mountains at almost 1,000 meters (3,000 feet); you must carefully follow the yellow-colored signs, as per the legend, as the trail travels along large uninhabited stretches with long passages through the woods.
